Custom CRM + business phones
A CRM built around how you work, and the phones to go with it.
Knack writes CRM software from scratch for each client and runs business phone and texting service. Because we build both, your calls and texts end up on the customer record instead of in a separate app.
Custom CRM
Software written for your process
Your pipeline stages, your fields, your approval steps, your reports. Roles decide who sees what. Quotes, tasks, reminders and customer messages live on the same record. We host it and keep changing it after launch.
Custom CRMPhones & SMS
Business phone and texting service
Local and toll-free numbers, auto attendants, ring groups, call queues, voicemail to email, desk phones and mobile apps. Two-way texting from the same numbers, with the 10DLC carrier registration handled for you.
Phones & SMSWhy one company for both
Most CRMs and phone systems only talk through a plug-in.
When the same team builds the CRM and runs the phone system, the connection between them is part of the design.
The record opens when the phone rings
An incoming call looks up the caller and opens their record, so whoever answers sees the open job, the last quote and who they spoke to last.
Call and text from the record
Click a number to call it from your desk phone or the app. Texts go out from your business number and the replies come back to the same record.
Recordings and summaries saved to the timeline
If you turn on recording, each call is stored with the customer it belongs to, with a transcript and a short written summary.
One number to call when something breaks
The CRM and the phone system are ours. Nobody tells you it is the other vendor’s problem.
How a CRM project goes
From the spreadsheet you have to the system you need
- 01
We watch how you work
A working session with the people who will use the system. We go through the spreadsheets, the whiteboard, the old CRM and the steps that live in someone’s head.
- 02
You get a written scope and a fixed price
Screens, fields, permissions, reports and integrations, listed in plain language. If an off-the-shelf tool would fit you better, we say so at this point.
- 03
We build it in short rounds
You get a working preview early and click through it as it grows. Changes are cheap while it is being built, so this is when to ask for them.
- 04
We move your data and go live
We import your existing records, train your team and switch over. After launch we host it, back it up and keep making changes as your process changes.
Who we work with
Teams that outgrew spreadsheets, or pay for a big CRM and use a tenth of it.
Our team has built systems for roofing contractors, medical practices, insurance agencies, wholesale distributors and field service companies. What they had in common was a process that did not fit a template: a job that moves through six departments, a commission split nobody could configure, or a dispatch board that lived on a whiteboard.
If your process is standard and a packaged CRM fits it with light setup, buy the packaged CRM. We will tell you that on the first call.
Questions
What people ask first
How much does a custom CRM cost?+
It depends on how many screens, roles and integrations you need. After the first working session we send a written scope with a fixed price, so you know the number before any work starts.
Do I have to buy the CRM and the phone service together?+
No. Plenty of clients use only one. They work best together because the phone system can open records, log calls and send texts from inside the CRM.
Can I keep my current phone numbers?+
In most cases, yes. We port your existing local and toll-free numbers from your current carrier. A typical port takes one to two weeks, and your old service keeps working until the cutover.
What is 10DLC, and do I need it?+
If you send texts to US mobile phones from a regular 10-digit business number, the carriers require the business and the type of messages to be registered. Unregistered texts get filtered or blocked. We file the registration for you and handle the carrier review.
What happens to the data in our spreadsheets or old CRM?+
We import it as part of the project. We clean up duplicates and map your old fields to the new ones before launch, and you review a test import before we switch over.
Tell us how your team works today.
Spreadsheets, a CRM nobody updates, a phone system from 2012. Describe it in a few lines and we will tell you what we would build and what it would cost.
